Intellithings Ltd.’s RoomMe, a newly crowdfunded smart sensor, looks to revolutionize the way we interact with our smart homes. The Tel Aviv based company’s new smart sensor will handle communication across all of the smart devices in your home.

The smart sensor triggers scenes across the smart devices when you enter the room, so no more manual activation!
The sensor works with SmartThings, Wink, HomeKit, Nest, and Wemo.
With these integrations, the RoomMe interacts with smart devices like TVs, lights, thermostats, security cameras, coffee makers, ceiling fans, and smart outlets – all with person-specific preferences.
Another example of how novel of an approach Intellithings took with the RoomMe is how the device handles multiple person homes and apartments. For these situations, the RoomMe determine which person’s settings to apply in each room. In fact, the RoomMe allows owners to set different user levels to prioritize a certain member of the household’s preferences.
With multiple people in a room, RoomMe will find a middle ground according to the different preferences.
The RoomMe allows users to set a hierarchy of users according to the time of day to control your smart home depending on work schedules.
In the initial set up of the device, you should install the RoomMe sensor on the ceiling above doorways. It has an expected battery life of 3 years.
