Google Home’s purpose is to be at the heart of your smart home. What better way to be at the center of your home than being your kitchen companion?
The firm from Mountain View just announced the new assistant’s feature: Google home can now provide 5 million recipes to its users. The recipes come from different websites including Bon Appetit, Food Network and The New York Times.
The assistant guides you with step-by-step instructions:
Use Google Home in your kitchen
To use this new feature, you will need to:
- look for a recipe with the Google Assistant (on your smartphone or tablet),
- hit the “Send to Google Home” button to send the recipe to your vocal assistant,
- say “Ok Google, start cooking” or “Ok Google, start recipe” to start getting the instructions.
The speaker will not only give you the recipe but will also adapt to your pace. Ask your assistant to go back with “Ok Google, repeat” or “Ok Google, what is step four?”. Ask Google for a solution in case of a missing ingredient.
