Google Home continues on its chosen path and is integrating more brands to its list of compatible devices.
Last week the following brands announced integrations with Google Home: Wink, Vivint, August, First Alert, LIFX, TP-Link, Logitech and more (Rachio, Frigidaire, Geeni, Anova, Best Buy’s Insignia).
For example, you will be able to control:
- The products connected to your Wink Hub (lights and thermostats)
- The August smart locks (check if they are locked)
- Your LIFX lights: turn them on or off, control their color and brightness
- Your Logitech Harmony smart remote
Until now, Google Home was only compatible with Nest, Philips Hue, IFTTT, SmartThings, Belkin WeMo and Honeywell. This new bunch of integrations expands the smart home features of the vocal assistant.
In addition, the company announced the launch of the home controller in the UK. 6 months after the launch in the US, Google Home is coming in the UK on April 6th, at £129.
