Ekko is a connected mirror, introduced by Miliboo last year and presented at the CES 2017. Besides being a mirror, Ekko also displays data from the internet such as the weather forecast, the road traffic or beauty advice.
With Ekko, watch a YouTube makeup tutorial while you do your makeup, read the news while you brush your teeth or play your favorite songs while your are in the shower.
The mirror was built from an Android platform. The display area is located at the bottom of the mirror.
With its tinted glass and built-in speakers, the device can display all sorts of content from the internet: videos, music, forecast, news, horoscope or entertainment.
The mirror is gesture controlled: 4 infrared sensors placed on each side of the mirror detect your hand’s gestures. For example, to move from one page to another, move your hand from the left to the right.
Also, every member of the family can create their own profile on the app, compatible Android and iOS. Each member can enjoy their own content: timer for adults when brushing their teeth, YouTube clip to entertain teenagers, etc.
Ekko is available at $399.
