The news was released last week: Alexa is now available on Amazon’s iOS app.
If you are an Amazon’s app user on iPhone or iPad, you can now use Alexa as a personal assistant. Aside from ordering from the retail platform and tracking your delivery, you can also use your voice to ask Alexa questions, check the weather, road traffic or even read ebooks. Obviously, Alexa lets you order directly from the online store, with your voice.
Amazon plan also to control connected devices through Alexa on iOS. It’s surprising that the same iOS device will now host both Siri and Alexa. However, Alexa is only accessible when the app is open. To access the AI a microphone icon is available under the Amazon app’s search bar. The marketplace giant will acquire more users to improve the AI technology under Alexa.
We don’t know the availability of Alexa on the Android app yet. The feature is only available for US users.
