Canary has just released their new camera. We have talked about its sibling Canary all-in-one, the indoor camera and home health monitor. Flex is the first camera that can be used indoor and outdoor, wire-free or plugged in.
The camera has a full HD definition, a 116° wide-angle lens, a microphone and 2 built-in speakers (coming soon with two-way talk). It also has dual-band Wi-Fi.
Flex also has night vision, is waterproof and can operate between -4° and 113° F.
Thanks to its built-in lithium-ion batteries, you can use the device autonomously or charge it by USB.
Flex relies on a magnetic swivel base, allowing the camera to rotate 360°.
App and membership
If you already own a Canary all-in-one, you can monitor Flex with the same app.
Use the app to set up Home, Away or Night modes and configure in which mode you want to record the video.
With the Canary free membership, you can share up to 4 devices on the app and store 24 hours of video on the cloud (12 hours per camera for 2 devices, 8 hours for 3 devices…).
For a membership of $9,99/month, you will have access, amongst others, to 30-day video history, unlimited data and downloads and a 2-year extended device warranty.
Canary Flex can be purchased on Flex’s website for $199 or on Amazon for .
