Introducing the motion sensor
Another big announcement of the IFA 2016 is the release of Philips Hue motion sensor, the only accessory missing to the Hue range.
The white box works with 2 AAA batteries and will detect motion in your house. For example, connected to your Philips Hue lighting, the sensor allows you to automate the lights when someone comes in or out of a room.
It will have a panv angle of 100° and will cover an area of 16.5 feet of distance. The sensor will be very sensitive : even your cat’s movements will be detected.
Philips has also integrated a light meter in the sensor, to activate your lights according to the level of brightness in the room. A good way to save energy during the daytime.
The motion sensor will be launched in October, 2016 and will sell for Check on Amazon.
